Being uncomfortable in some situations helps us to learn, and then we will feel comfortable. Fear of change and failure prevents us from moving toward the new digital age. I'm not a digital person, and I've had problems with technology, but I'm not afraid to ask questions and ask for help, and that's how I learn.

Lorena, I agree with fear of failure preventing us from doing things. We must model for our students the growth-mindset and encourage them to do the same!

"Its about the learning" (Harapnik, 2018). That is very true and I find myself quoting this statement in many of my conversations and posts. You are a digital person! We all are, but we have levels. The fact that you are willing to ask questions and be vocal about your needs is a win.

Lorena, I have become more adaptive to change and use technology that people now consider a "techy person." Although I am far from it, I still get nervous about using new technological applications, but I am willing to try and figure things out. I can show someone to use an application, but the best way is for one to take the risk and learn on their own by navigating it.

Fear of change is huge for a lot of people. This keeps more from trying. new things that we will ever realize. Aside from technology, people fear change because the outcome is unknown. I know many teachers who won't leave schools and positions they hate because they fear change. Don't let your own assumptions about yourself keep you from making a change.

life wouldn't be fun if we didn't get out of our comfort zone. The more "uncomfortable" we are the more we experience. I'm so glad you are willing to ask questions and learn.
